Detailed brush work on a Pittsburgh home
It's All In The Preparation

To do a job right, you have to do it right from the start.

A perfect paint job doesn't begin with the brush. It begins with the surface — smoothed, sealed, and prepped so the finish actually lasts. Cut that corner and you'll be repainting in two years. We don't cut that corner.

Forty years in, we've painted every kind of Pittsburgh home: brick rowhouses in Lawrenceville, Victorian beauties in Squirrel Hill, mid-century ranches in the suburbs. Every job gets the same prep, the same paints (Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore), and the same attention to the details that other crews skip.

Why Adams Painting

The reason customers come back.

It's not just the paint. It's the prep, the cleanup, the timeline you can count on, and the fact that we still show up the same way we did in 1984.

FAQ

Your painting questions, answered.

How do you protect my furniture and floors during the painting process?

We use drop cloths and plastic sheeting to fully cover and protect every piece of furniture and every square foot of floor in the work area. Anything not paintable gets covered before we open a single can.

What type of paint do you use?

High-quality, eco-friendly paints from Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore. Low-VOC formulations means less odor during the job and a finish that holds up for years longer than the bargain stuff.

How long will the painting job take?

It depends on the scope. A single bedroom may be a one-day job; a full-house exterior in summer can run a week or two. We assess the site in person and give you a real, honest timeline before any work begins.

Do you provide a warranty on your services?

Yes — a full one-year warranty on all our painting services. It covers any issue arising from our workmanship. If something isn't right, we come back and fix it.

Are your workers insured?

Absolutely. Every team member is fully insured and trained. Your property, your home, and our crew are all covered.

How often should I repaint my home or business?

Interiors typically need a fresh coat every 3–5 years, exteriors every 5–7 — though that varies a lot with sun exposure, surface, and the paint that was used last time. We can take a look and tell you honestly whether you're due.
